Itsafarwalk is the creative services of a girl in the southern mountains. I live in the brick city of Knoxville, Tennessee with two Siberian huskies in an old renovated Victorian boarding house downtown. I work 9-5 for Scripps networks as a web designer for HGTV and help out with other networks like Food, DiY and Fine living.
But my post-work passion is in progressive design and illustration. Progressive meaning doing work at lower costs for groups, companies, organizations and people who are making a difference in the fields of human rights, social justice, the environment, animal welfare and education. My work has been seen in Herbivore, Homepower and Lehigh Valley magazines. And online at such spots as Vegan porn. Some of my notable past and present clients are Scripps Networks, The Mid Atlantic Renewable Energy Association, Tofu Hound Press, Radius Toothbrush and dozens of smaller grassroots organizations from zen centers to democratic clubs and animal shelters. You can learn more about hiring me for a job here.
A small publication called dogcoffin is printed on an irregular basis and mailed to friends and clients alike. If you'd like to join said mailing list for all the brick and soil news you can handle, subscribe here and give your name and mailing address. Or check out about everyday in the south at my blog, which boasts audio and analog posts.
Itsafarwalk supports the Sierra Club, and Defenders of Wildlife. A portion of our profits are donated back to these organizations. When created printed pieces I use 100% post consumer resources, like Neenah's Environment Series. If you have a specific charity you would like your work to go towards that can also be arranged.
